Natural Gas Prices Jump as Hurricane Cuts Production

Natural gas prices ended at an eight-month high Wednesday due to hurricane-caused supply disruptions and robust demand from extended-summer heat.

Futures for November delivery ended 0.6% higher at $3.2840 a million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That’s the highest settle value since Jan. 29 as prices have risen 9% so far in October.
