Natural gas prices fell for a third straight day Thursday due to rising U.S. production and a government report that showed a larger-than-expected increase in weekly gas storage injections.

Futures for October delivery fell 0.7% to end at $2.77 a million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
