Dollar falls on reports the U.S. is seeking another round of trade talks with China

Gold prices rose Wednesday, supported by a weaker dollar.

Gold for December delivery was recently up 0.6% at $1,209.50 a troy ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
