Company will separate positions of chairman and chief executive

Drug store chain Rite Aid Corp. will make changes to its board after its merger deal with grocery chain Albertson’s unraveled last month.

The Camp Hill, Pa.-based company will separate the positions of chairman and chief executive, Rite Aid announced Thursday. Currently, John Standley is the chairman and CEO of Rite Aid, but under the changes, current director Bruce G. Bodaken will hold the position of chairman. The shift will start at the annual meeting of stockholders on Oct. 30.
