Analysts See 89 Billion Cubic-Foot Add to U.S. Natural-Gas Inventories

Estimates range from an increase of 74 bcf to 96 bcf

U.S. government data due Thursday are likely to show stockpiles of natural gas last week rose by an amount just below the average increase for this time of year.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report storage levels rose by 89 billion cubic feet of gas during the week ended Oct. 5, according to the average forecast of eight analysts, brokers and traders surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
