0520 GMT — New Zealand stocks were weak throughout today’s trading, with the benchmark NZX-50 hurt from the get-go by the patent lawsuit against large-cap Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. But the drop is proving less than what many others in Asia Pacific are logging today even as the index closed down 0.6% at 9257.29. The medical-device maker slid 3.9%, the most since November and coming after the stock’s latest record high set Thursday. But it wasn’t the only big name under pressure today.
