Asia Pacific Stocks Mixed in Early Trade

0011 GMT — It is a split market early for Asia Pacific equities, with Japan closed for a holiday and China and Taiwan returning after being closed for the Lunar New Year holiday all of last week. New Zealand’s NZX 50 has climbed 0.4%, all of it in the past hour since Aussie stocks opened. But the ASX 200 is down 0.3% as financials pull back more than 1% following their best week since December 2011. Meanwhile, Korea’s Kopsi is little changed in the opening minutes of action there and S&P 500 futures are fractionally higher after Friday’s quiet session in the U.S.
