Shares of Darden Restaurants, which also owns LongHorn Steakhouse and The Capital Grille, have soared more than 240%, compared with 66% for the S&P 500 Restaurant subindex, in the roughly four years since its chief executive announced his resignation amid a battle with activist investors.
